In general, business is going to the right direction. For translation the focus finally changed into mainly direct clients, plus couples of overseas agencies. I dont do bucket work with low rate so so quality. My copy writing skill became a big plus. And I also started to cooperate with translators in other languages.
Meanwhile, interpretation service became more comprehensive. To obtain a advance level, it also required flexible people skill and strong analytical skill, the skill to be an artist in the trade of language. My background of 5 years professional experiences in hotel industry, an insurances salesman, freelance writer and amateur photographer ( humanlandscape) provided a strong foundation for my service to grow and prosper.
In the past 2 years I also learnt what means the most to a service business is not the money, it is the integrity and the talent to make people believe you are trust worthy. Which I am.
In the past month I have to turn down at least 40% enquiry. My shedule is almost full and I indeed believe those client can find others to fulfil there goals, it not necessary to be me. The reason I say no is because I believe they can be safe in other hands, and if not, I am always here. Only a phone call away.
Couples of days ago when I was working with art dealers from US and France. I accidentally took some photos with my SRL camera. It turns out as good as I wouldnt believe. Image I barely remember how to use any other mode beside "auto". I am happy because I can still call myself a photographer. The images below are several of the shots I took.
